This week I'm featuring:
I read this book several years ago now, but it was fantastic. The story of a young girl wanting nothing more than to have a family is heart wrenching. Throughout the story you realize she thinks she has done something that will take this chance away. I just wanted to be able to crawl inside the book and tell her that it would be ok and that if they really loved her they would understand. When I suggest this book to my students I tell them it's not a book they'll laugh their way through. They'll be asked to think and feel. If they aren't up for that I suggest they try something else. So that's my advice to you! But really - be up to it and you won't be disappointed.
From Goodreads
Hollis Woods has been in so many foster homes she can hardly remember them all. When Hollis is sent to Josie, she’ll do everything in her power to make sure they stay together.
That does sound sad. Awww
