It's Harry Potter Time - With a Giveaway!

Well unless you've been living under a rock you are aware that the movie for Harry Potter book #7 comes out tomorrow at midnight.  Well, part one comes out tomorrow.  I am very very excited about this! I won't be standing in line at midnight or anything like that, but I will be getting to the theatre very quickly to see the last book brought to life.

In honor of the movie's release I thought I'd have a quick little Harry Potter giveaway. Up for grabs is:

The Tales of Beedle the Bard and some Harry Potter "silly bands"!

Entery into the giveaway is simple.  Tell me your favorite HP character and why - or your favorite villian! I love Draco mainly because he goes through so many changes throughout the 7 books.  I did wish he'd turn out nicer in the end, but I guess he is who he is! Now who is yours and why?? Be sure to leave an email so I can contact you if you win!

Contest Rules
Ends on Monday the 22 at midnight CST
Must be a US Resident
Must reply to winning email within 48 hours or prize is passed to another winner

About the book if you don't know much about it:

The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a Wizarding classic, first came to Muggle readers’ attention in the book known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, thanks to Hermione Granger’s new translation from the ancient runes, we present this stunning edition with an introduction, notes, and illustrations by J. K. Rowling, and extensive commentary by Albus Dumbledore. Never before have Muggles been privy to these richly imaginative tales: “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot,” “The Fountain of Fair Fortune,” “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart,” “Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump,” and of course, “The Tale of the Three Brothers.” But not only are they the equal of fairy tales we now know and love, reading them gives new insight into the world of Harry Potter.

  1. Um HP silly bandz..what... I haven't heard of those before. How fun... I am so excited for Friday. I CAN NOT wait!!

I love Ron.. He is so funny and cute. He is always there for Harry and always make me laugh!

" Follow the spiders, follow the spiders... why can't it be follow the butterflies"

    Thanks for the great giveaway!!
P.S Guess what.. I'm watching HP right at this very minute ( Order of the Phoenix) I have been watching a HP marathon today. Getting myself all ready!

    Thanks again

  2. Man I love that poster. I adore Ron.
    (not an entry)

  3. My favorite character is Sirius Black. He's flawed but I always for him terribly amusing and entertaining. I loved his relationship with Harry. Even though he was only introduced in book three, I feel like they had a really unique, genuine and touching relationship by the time Sirius um..died. I was so sad at the end of book five :(
Thanks for the chance to win!

  4. Tough to pick just one. Hagrid is one of my favorites. He brings so much humor to the books. Love Fred & George for the same reason.

  5. My favorite characters are Luna Lovegood and Severus Snape. Luna because she's weird and awesome and not ashamed of it. Snape is another favorite and the reason why can be summed up with one word, "Always." Oh and I really like Professor McGonagall too. I almost forgot Dumbledore!! Dumbledore is definitely a favorite, I can't believe I almost forgot about him... So yeah, my favorite characters are Luna Lovegood, Snape, McGonagall, and Dumbledore.

  6. Favorite HP character - wow that is a tough call. I love Albus Dumbledore. His passion for knowledge and his commitment to good is inspiring. Severus Snape is a close second. There was a lot to him and I never knew if he was bad or good - so intriguing.

  7. I think I would have to choose Hermoine. She is so smart but goes through changes in all the books and turns into a true heroine! I also love Draco because sometimes you just want to root for the evil guy....just a little bit.
