  13. Congratulations!!! Isn't it a fantastic feeling? As for the questions,
    1) Ha! I have a list of books I want and almost buy (and I have a wishlist on Book Depository that is set to email me if prices drop), so that's up in the air. I generally just buy according to mood.
    2) Can't help ya. Free clipart sucks. However, I do like going through Flickr's Creative Commons section; it's photos w/ special permissions so that you can use them how you want.
    3) I tend to recommend books based on who I am talking to; I want to give them something they'll like. Likely options:
    number9dream - David Mitchell
    Cloud Altas - David Mitchell
(though for you, probably Black Swan Green by D.M. - coming of age, so more MG friendly)
    Soulless - Gail Carriger
The Hunger Games series - Suzanne Collins
The Uglies series - Scott Westerfeld
    any of Margaret Atwood's dystopias

    CONGRATS AGAIN!!!

  14. 1. What book might you buy?
Whoooo, that's always a tough question. I have been intrigued by this book for quite a long time and read a review today that convinced me to try it so I would buy The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick (2007).

    2. Where can I find free online clipart to use? I never find good sites :(
    Try:
    http://school.discoveryeducation.com/clipart/
    - they have some great stuff.

    3. What book would you recommend without hesitation - you loved it that much?

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins....every time I am asked!

    ReplyDelete
  15. 1. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
    2. I'm probably the last person you should ask! LOL
    3. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong for adults and Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater and Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl for YA

    Congrats!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't use a lot of clipart but, when I want to add some visual interest, I go to Glitter Graphics and search Flickr for image posted with Creative Commons licenses.

I don't know what I would want to buy. But I'm sure I could find something marvelous.

My current favorite book to recommend to everyone I see is Beautiful Creatures.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 1. Probably The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong or Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready.

  21. Congratulations on 200 followers! And thanks so much for the contest. :)
My answers to #1 and #3 are the same because I try really hard to only buy books that I love love love. In this case, that would be The Lion and The Mouse by Pinkney and either Graceling by Cashore or Shiver by Stiefvater.
As for clipart, as much as I don't like Microsoft, their clipart collection is massive (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/clipart/default.aspx). I don't generally go to any other sites because they're filled with ads, pop-up windows, and sometimes malware. I second the suggestion of searching Flickr for Creative Commons-licensed images.
