"World of" Weekend Meme

Tell if you would like to live in the world of the book you're currently reading. Would it be fun? Would it be dangerous? Who would you most like to meet in that world? What would take some getting use to? Tell us anything! Be sure to include the author, and make sure to link back. Remember this is a weekend meme, so you have all weekend! :)

This week I read Alibi Junior High by Greg Logsted.  I don't think I'd like to be in the world of that book.  Cody is hiding out at his aunt's because some men are after his dad and him.  He's up most nights patroling the woods because he's worried someone is there.  I would NOT want to live where I was worried that someone was outside my window wanting to get me!  If I lived in Cody's world I'd never sleep, and I'd be constantly scared.  He handles it really well, but I would be a total wreck.

Ok - what about the world of the book you're reading??

  1. I am reading Catching Fire. I would never want to live that world. North America is no more and there is only the nation of Panem. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual fight to the death on live TV. I don't know if I would be able to survive a world like that. I would hope I could be brave and learn to hunt like the protagonist.

    By the way

I just gave you an award at my blog :)

A story of a magical town in Vermont called Sugar Maple. I think it would be a riot to live there. Slightly dangerous but totally fun.
I would most like to visit Chloe's magical best friends.
