Ok Ok say what you will about this series BUT it was the first book I read in a really really long time that took me out of a long reading slump. And to be honest it's what brought my passion back to reading and eventually to blogging. So yes, I'm thankful for Twilight.
Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. When she meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen--a vampire--her life takes a thrilling and terrifying romantic turn.
I totally get that and I think many, many people would agree with you even if they wouldn't admit. The one-two punch or Harry Potter followed by Twilight was what brought a lot of people back to reading I think!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Twilight is what brought back my love for reading and then, writing! If I hadn't seen that first movie on TV and snagged the books (and inhaled them) I wouldn't be where I am now. And as Jana said, some probably wouldn't want to admit that, but we find inspiration everywhere, so the fact that it was found in the first place is a wonderful thing! ;D
